For this living room show we will have two young Dutch musicians in the field of electronic music.
Machinist is the project of Zeno van den Broek. After several self-released cd-r’s Moving Furniture Records had the pleasure to release the great album Of What Once Was. Machinist works with minimal structures, field-recordings, pulsing drones to create intense soundscapes. This he combines with video art.
For this evening he will present us some new work that will fit with the intimate setting of a living room concert. Hopefully this can be combined with some of his amazing video works.
A second CD album came out in 2012 on Narrominded Records called Convergence documenting on of his live performances.
Matto Frank is a resident of Amsterdam. His parents know him as Frank Schouten, but you might know him as Hakki Takki, Frankie Vis or as mr. Plattegrond Records. As Matto Frank he creates electronic music based around field-recordings. On his first CD album China he mixes several field-recordings from Chinese streets, supermarkets and more with electronics. This delivers a great combination of soundscapes and crazy madness.
Live you never know what you are going to get, though we know for sure that for this evening he will present a new project where rumors go this will be based around Amsterdam…
China came out on Narrominded Records in 2012.
