Alberto Boccardi (IT)

He is works as music composer for audiovideo performance (Venice Biennale 11, Stockholm festival 10), dance, theatre and short films (Yuri Ancarani) and plays among others with Ben Frost (Music for 6 guitars–?Milano), Barn Owl, Lawrence English, Mika Vaino, Nicola Ratti, Lorenzo Senni, Attila Faravelli, Enrico Coniglio.

He has toured in Italy and abroad (USA, Canada, Russia, and Europe) on various occasions.

For this event he will present his minimalist orchestral piece, titled Fingers. This is an electro-acoustic journey that has been innerved by the contribution of multiple instrumentalists.

The result is a contrast between repetitive elements and hypnotic loops with electronic and acoustic layers moving to the surface before disappearing into the variable and floating element known as time.

The material has been recorded between Kazakhstan, Italy and Iceland, over a period of 8 months: from the field recording materials of the Kazakh winter to the feeble piano notes of the Greenhouse studio in Reykjavik.

Fingers is released via Important Records (Cassauna series, tape) and Monotype/Catsun (CD)

Tapage & Espoir (NL)
Roald van Dillewijn (Espoir) and Tijs Ham (Tapage) have been researching the boundaries of sonic synthesis and audio manipulation for the past five years.
During that time they have crafted their own complex set of tools and instruments with which record their extended soundscapes. Layers of noises and drones stretch out as textured infinite landscapes of wide fields and valleys overrun by soundwaves.

Tapage & Espoir have been featured on several compilation albums, an e.p. on Tapeface and are now joining the Moving Furniture Records label for a full length cassette tape release.
